This week all of the paperwork was finally complete and in place for Nifty Groovy Auctions to begin offering online auctions and live auctions. It's been six months in the making (well, a bit longer than that since I first decided to get my auctioneer's license.) I just barely missed the Aug. 2015 deadline for auctioneering class so I waited until Feb. 2016 to take the next one. Then I had teaching commitments immediately following the class and I moved to a new house so taking the licensing exam took some time. Then it was hurry up and wait to get the State to finalize the licensing for me as an auctioneer and to authorize Nifty Groovy as an auction business. FINALLY, the legalities are done.
Over the next several weeks I am working with the online software company to get online auctions operating. We just have a little more work to do to get them listed on the website, to provide shipping and handling and to take online payments.
Please be sure to check out our calendar for what's coming up next. The first week of September, we begin our first online auctions of artisanal jewelry. These one of a kind pieces are beautiful and one of a kind. We appreciate all of the efforts of the artists and the time they have put in to creating these artworks.
Also be sure to check out our "vintage smalls" online auction featuring mostly mid-century small housewares and decorative items.
Our online auctions have a 15% buyers premium. AU4779/AB3579
